Year-round Garden in Ohio? Yes!

I have been eyeing the AeroGardens for about 2 years. The idea of a year-round garden here in Ohio just appeals to me. Well, I received an email offer that I couldn’t resist. I got a 6-pack of salad greens, a 6-pack of herbs and I also bought a seed starter kit which you can use to grow any kind of seeds and then transfer them outside. Score!

I have succulent seeds coming for our fairy gardens since we just don’t seem to be having any luck with other types of plants. I also have bonsai tree seeds coming. I don’t think we are going to go too crazy outside with other plants, except for our hummingbird-drawing types of plants. I love watching them zip around the feeders and flowers when we are out on the porch.

Right now, I have 3 types of lettuce growing and sage, oregano and parsley. The oregano and parsley are just starting to peak out of the moss. They have been in the AeroGarden for about 9 days. Maybe I am weird, but I love seeing things grow knowing I had a hand in it. I am usually a brown thumb, but this I can do!

Let me know what you think! :)
